I haven't read Drops Like Stars yet. I was wondering if anybody has read it yet and if you have how it compares with Rob's previous 3 books?

I have just finished reading "Drops Like Stars." You can definitely tell it is a Rob Bell book while reading it, but in many ways it is drastically different from anything he has done before.
To start out, the book is huge! It is about 12'' tall and 11'' wide. 170ish pages, but I would say about half of the pages have either nothing, a picture, or at most a sentence or two. I read the entire book in less than an hour.
While that may seem different, it still has a very deep meaning, and the blank pages often speak just as loud as ones full of text. The book deals with suffering, and how we can see it in our lives. It talks about how we can find God through the hard times and the brokenness in our lives.
I definitely recommend the book, but don't try to fit the book inside "the box" of what a book is supposed to be. You see, Rob Bell isn't an "out of the box" thinker. He is someone who asks, "there's a box?" (There is a hidden joke here, but you will have to read the book to get it.)
I took less than an hour to read the words. I could spend days going through it slowly to capture the beauty of the imagery presented and the significance of the photographs. I think I will start that now.....

I read a borrowed copy that was purchased new on Amazon. Total cost with shipping was $25.

Yeah, I saw that it went down in price on Amazon. I was considering getting it but I'm going to have to wait at least until I get paid.
