Lord God, you are God, and your words are true. 2 Samuel 7:28
We must always give thanks to God for you, because God chose you as the first
fruits for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and through belief in
the truth. 2 Thessalonians 2:13
Father God, we spend so much time arguing over the translation and validity of
your word that we often forget to simply stop and give thanks. Through your
words, teach us and reveal yourself to us. Amen.
I really like this prayer. I think it gets to the heart of some of the "non-essential" differences that entangle us at times. So often when we are searching to differentiate between "us" and "them" we get caught up in details. I pray that we can take the time to just be in God's presence and thank Him for just how amazing that gift is.
Does anyone have an address to send God a thank you card?
