Crazy Love by Francis Chan
I read the book in two days. It is that good. The book by no means pulls any punches when spelling out what faith means to the author. He talks about "Lukewarm" Christians, and how we need to really Love God to get what it means to be in relationship with him. Chan speaks straight from his heart and directly to yours.
It is a challenge to each of us to tangibly live our faith each day. I really hope you take the time to read this book. It has given me a new perspective, especially regarding prayer. It is our chance to talk to God our Creator! How amazing is that! I am definitely going to come into times of prayer with a sense of awe and gratitude from now on.

Here are a couple passages from the 'Lukewarm' Chapter in, Crazy Love:
Lukewarm people say they love Jesus, and He is, indeed, a part of their lives. But only a part. They give Him a section of their time, their money and their thoughts, but he isn't allowed to control their lives.
Lukewarm people do not live by faith; their lives are structured so they never have to. They don't have to trust God if something unexpected happens-they have their savings account. They don't need God to help them-they have their retirement plan in place. They don't genuinely seek out what life God would have them live-they have life figured and mapped out. They don't depend on God on a daily basis. The truth is, their lives wouldn't look much different if they suddenly stopped believing in God.
It sounds like lukewarm Christians have a problem with control issues. To be honest I think we all have control issues...lukewarm or not. He is in control of our lives and he knows the plans he has for us, plans to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future! We all need to have a little faith in our Lord! He said to take up your cross and follow him...he didn't say to do it in a lukewarm manner.
