This past weekend I was at the RightNow Leadership Conference in Dallas, Texas with a few of the other 20-Somethings from Lititz Moravian. We had such an amazing weekend. The RightNow Campaign is all about being a "trader" for Jesus, which means intentionally trading in the American Dream for a life of following God. The speakers included Francis Chan, Donald Miller, Mark Batterson, Kay Warren, George Barna, Matt Chandler, and others who have written inspirational books and are pastors of large churches around the country. Kari Jobe was the worship leader and her music was also inspiring. God really spoke through them this weekend and we were encouraged to go out and follow Jesus right now! I'm still overwhelmed by everything we learned and talked about this weekend because sooo much went on, but I was challenged in my faith and the way I've been living my life. By the end of the weekend I was praising and worshiping with my whole heart. I committed to trading my overabundance of clothing, jealousy, and pride in for God to be able to live through me. I have been putting my self and my pride between me and God and now I am committed to focusing solely on God and trading in the rest. As I begin to process what all of this means for me, I am excited to grow in relationship with God and to feel the Spirit working in my life. The RightNow Campaign is awesome!
