So, it has been a week, and the hurt has healed enough for me to talk about it. The awful incident I'm referring to is of course the Packers overtime loss to the Cardinals. I can't lie, I really felt emotionally drained after the game. It was such an emotional roller coaster, that when it was over, I really just wanted to be alone, and not interact with people.
So, I guess I'm trying to decide what this means. My first reaction would be that it is just a game, and that I shouldn't be emotionally drained after it. However, perhaps if I look hard enough I can use some of the overused sports to life metaphors to justify my Packer addiction.....
Think of all the life lessons that football teaches us about life. (Please note that I am discussing American football, and not "futbol" aka soccer, which though more widely played, has not taught me lessons about life.)
For example: "Perseverance": We face many obstacles in life, but as long as we are willing to stick to our morals and our goals, we can accomplish a lot.
I'm sure there are many more. I promise to continue to watch every Packer game I possibly can in the furture to learn the life lessons present, and then I will share them with you. You're welcome.
